About Us
The Council of Christians and Jews (Registered Charity No. 238005) works with Christians, Jews and members of other faith communities who are approaching inter-faith dialogue.
The Council of Christians and Jews was founded in 1942 by Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz and Archbishop William Temple. Since CCJ was founded and, in particular, since the end of the Second World War, Christians have sought ways in which they can reach out to their Jewish brothers and sisters. Today, CCJ works to create constructive dialogue between Jews and Christians on a wide variety of topics, including the Israel-Palestine situation and the global economic crisis. CCJ continues to work tirelessly to combat anti-semitism and intolerance, working with a variety of Christian, Jewish and secular community groups.
Events
CCJ hosts many events nationally every year, providing opportunities for Jews and Christians to come together in peace. If you'd like to know more, please contact us. |
