Campus Leadership Programme Manager
CCJ are looking to hire a Campus Leadership Programme Manager (part-time 2.5 FTE)
Background
CCJ’s Campus Leadership Programme is the UK’s leading national programme promoting dialogue between university students of all faiths and backgrounds.
Launched in 2016 by by the Archbishop of York and the Chief Rabbi, at the invitation of Student Presidents of the Jewish and Christian societies in Durham University, its aims are to combat antisemitism and all forms of religious intolerance on campus and to promote healthy, balanced, and informed dialogue amongst students.
The programme is designed to train, empower and mentor students, enabling and supporting them to build bridges and increase understanding between students from different faiths and belief backgrounds.
Although other areas of CCJ’s work are focussed on Jewish Christian relations this initiative is open to students of all faiths and at all levels of study.
Currently operating on 10 campuses the programme empowers students, creates leaders and transforms interfaith relations across the country.
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate individual to support this programme and students in making a real difference.
Responsibilities
The main duties for this part of the role are:

Publicising the programme and recruiting students for each academic cohort.

This includes building and maintaining relationships with Chaplains, multifaith centres, theology and divinity departments at universities. student unions and student bodies organisations such as UJS etc.

Planning and facilitating a residential training at the start of the academic year (September).

Supporting campus leaders throughout the year.

Arranging and facilitating ongoing training for students throughout the year.

Arranging a graduation or event to mark the end of the programme in the summer.

Connecting students with appropriate mentors to guide them and support them throughout the programme.

Supporting alumni engagement.

Social media content creation primarily for Instagram and LinkedIn.
Skills
Essential
-
Understanding of faith community nuance, ability to speak clearly about your own faith and what this means to you.
-
Openness to a broad variety of faiths and the diversity within faiths.
-
Facilitation or presentation skills.
-
Interest in interfaith work and increasing understanding across difference.
-
Experience in planning and managing an event or programme from start to finish.
-
Strong grasp of the written word.

Strong relationship building skills.

Working collaboratively with a small team on Campus Leadership and other CCJ events?
Desirable:

Connection to a faith community or tradition (this does not have to be Jewish or Christian).

Social media content creation primarily for Instagram and LinkedIn.

Experience with Canva design.

Experience in presenting and educating to groups with varied knowledge levels.
-
Understanding and experience of working with university students.

Experience with student supporting organisations like UJS, UCCF etc.
Salary
£26-28,000 FTE pro-rata
Line manager
This role works closely with and is managed by the Senior Campus Leadership Manager who is based in Manchester.
Place of work
This role is ideally for someone based in Manchester or able to be in Manchester 1 day a week as a minimum. We have office space at the Luther King Centre, Rusholme, and are open to considering flexible working arrangements or requests.
CCJ head office is in central London with some expectation to visit several times a year.

This programme runs across the academic year starting in September. We are asking that successful candidates be available 7-9th of September for essential training.
