Letter of solidarity to Jewish students at Essex University
Posted Thu, 02/28/2019 - 15:22 by MCSDear Jewish Students at Essex University,
We are faith representatives from universities around the country committed to enabling good relations between Jews and non-Jews.
As students and young people of different faiths we wish to express our solidarity with you as you set up a Jewish Society at Essex University. JSocs provide an important community where Jewish students can explore their identity, faith and culture. We are therefore appalled that so many students decided to vote against the creation of a JSoc.
We know from our experience how important religious expression is on university campuses, especially at the present time. We offer you our support and wish you all the very best as you set up your JSoc.
With best wishes,
